SHILLONG: Shillong Lajong FC registered a 7-0 win over Lawmali Pyllun SC in the First Division at the JN Stadium, Polo, on Tuesday.
Lalramuana netted in the 6th minute to put Lajong ahead and Shanbor doubled the lead in the 30th minute. SLFC, who are fielding their junior team, were awarded a penalty and captain Redeem Tlang converted it in the 41st minute.
The Reds started the second half all guns blazing and scored two goals within two minutes, courtesy Angousanaluwang and Redeem in the 59th and 60th minutes respectively. In the 81st minute Jesterwell scored the sixth goal for Lajong and Redeem completed his hat-trick in the 90th minute.
Lajong are at the top of the table with 19 points. They have an unassailable lead and are assured of one of the promotion spots in next season’s Shillong Premier League.
