SHILLONG: Yet another case of rape involving a juvenile has surfaced in Meghalaya with a 14-year-old boy being arrested for allegedly raping two sisters (both minors) aged 14 and 7 during the period of February-April 2013 at Nohran village in East Khasi Hills.

According to police, the crime was unearthed only after one Opril Lyngshiang lodged an FIR on Tuesday with the revelation made by the two victims about the offence committed by the 14-year-old boy against them in the early months.

Police stated that the eldest sister (14) was raped in February whereas the youngest was raped in April by the same boy who is related to them. This offence was committed in a forest located near the village.

The accused has been forwarded to the Juvenile Justice Board.
