Money lost in claim to prize

SHILLONG: A woman lost a huge sum of money while claiming the prize money for a lottery. According to the complaint of one Grewilson R. Sangma lodged before the Rynjah Police Station, on August 14, his sister received a call from a cell phone (No. 08767637481) in which the caller informed her that she had won a lottery of Rs. 1,40,000 and also asked for the details of her bank account to deposit money. Later, on August 17, it transpired that Rs. 25,000 was instead withdrawn from her account.
