SHILLONG: The Chief Minister’s Football Cup 2013 for under-12s (boys and girls) started on Tuesday at the Laskein Block level at Laskein playground.

The office of the District Sports Officer of West Jaintia Hills, Jowai, in collaboration with the Laskein Sports Association West Jaintia Hills District, is organising the tournament.

Two boys matches were held on Tuesday, with Laskein SC defeating Mookyndeng SC 2-1, while Madanrwan SC squeaked past Mookaiaw Junior SC 1-0.

Nangroiki Biam and Waijingmut Lamare scored a goal each for Laskein, while Two Pillar Tang scored for Mookyndeng.

Wompher Lyngdoh was the lone scorer in the other match.
