Theft

On August 28 at around 2.30 am, unknown miscreants stole one Maruti Gypsy (ML-05E-7063) belonging to one Justice Lyngdoh from Rymbai village (EJH). On the same day, police recovered the stolen vehicle from Bhangarpar, Cachar, Assam and arrested Dhona Bordoloi (28) and Md. Scroz Khan (19).

Apprehension

On August 27 circa 6 am, VDP members of Sutnga village (EJH) apprehended seven Bangladeshi nationals – Md. Ismai Ahmed, Md. Kamal Uddin, Md. Anib Ali, Md. Hassan Ahmed, Md. Ibrahim Ali, Jaggaria Ahmed and Md. Rahul Amin from the village. All of them were handed over to Khliehriat Police.

On August 27, Police arrested one Aremen R. Sangma in connection with Mendipathar PS Dacoity case.

On August 27 at about 2 pm, one Tinku Chakraborty kidnapped Miss Anita Nongrum from Rynjah, Shillong.

Assault

One Ibamary Muksiar lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that on August 27, her husband, Tristo Iawphniaw assaulted her and their two-year-old daughter at Rynjah, Shillong.

On August 27 circa 12.30 pm, unknown miscreants stabbed one Longa Rai (47) with a sharp weapon at Dong Muliar (EJH). As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was rushed to Mission Hospital, Jowai, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Abuse

One Sonita Jone Nongbri lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that she has been receiving SMSes with abusive texts from cell phone Nos. 8794734245 & 8014585169.
