 SHILLONG: Work on the Ganol Power project, foundation of which was laid six years back, has finally started. Informing this here, Power Minister Clement Marak said the project must be completed at the earliest. When asked about the delay, he said the bidders had quoted high rates for the 21.5 MW power project. The empowered committee has been directed to submit a report on the status of the project within two weeks, he said.
