SHILLONG: The KSU Pynursla unit has alleged that the Officer in Charge of Pynursla police station Ram Prasad Bhusal along with other police personnel assaulted four innocent youths of the village without any reason on Saturday night.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, KSU Pynursla unit general secretary Eleazar Diengdoh informed that the Officer in Charge who was inebriated condition pulled the four youths to the police station while they walking along the roadside.
The four youth who were reportedly assaulted by the police include Moonchester Khongstia, Charmister Lyngdoh, His Blessing Nongrum and Oiñieng Khongsngi.
While threatening that they would be put inside the bar for three to four days if he found that they were KSU members, he said that the four youths were badly beaten up and assaulted inside the police station.
According to him, two of the youth (Moonchester and Charmister) received head injuries while the other two received minor injuries.
The KSU leader informed that they were later released after the police found out that they were not KSU members.
