“We have decided to change the timing following a request from various quarters including the church bodies,” KSU vice Frederick Kharmawphlang said in a statement issued here on Wednesday.

MTC bus timing: In view of the continuous night road blockades and bandh, the Meghalaya Transport Corporation (MTC) has rescheduled the timing for the buses ply during evening hours from Shillong to Garo Hills and Silchar.

Informing this here on Wednesday, managing director of MTC Anthony Pariat said buses will only ply during the day time. This arrangement will remain effective till the ongoing road blockade is called off.

Information on the availability of buses during the day time and the rescheduled timings has been made public for the convenience of the passengers, he added.
