NONGSTOIN: The West Khasi Hills Unit’s Hynnniewtrep Achik National Movement (HANM) has decided to hold a sit-in demonstration-cum-black flag day on September 16 in Deputy Commissioner’s office here demanding immediate removal of West Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner.

The decision to this effect was taken in a meeting held on Wednesday after the expiry of 10-day deadline issued by the NGO earlier.

Earlier, the HANM had submitted a letter to the Chief Minister and Chief Secretary demanding Deputy Commissioner’s removal.
