C M Chang takes oath as MLA

Kohima: The newly elected Naga People’s Front (NPF) legislator C M Chang today took oath as MLA in state Assembly.

Nagaland Assembly Speaker Chotisuh Sazo administered the oath of affirmation to Chang in the Assembly hall.

Chang won the September 4 Noksen Assembly Constituency bye-election defeating his rival Congress candidate Lima Onen Chang by 2863.

The bye-poll was necessitated following the resignation of Minister for School Education CM Chang on March 14 last to retain lone Lok Sabha seat from Nagaland.

The bye-election was held on September 4 while he result was declared on September 7.

Chang, who is also the sitting MP from Nagaland to Lok Sabha would tender his resignation from the Lok Sabah within next few days. (PTI)
