Meeting
The general meeting of all blocks resource persons and all cluster resource persons of SSA Meghalaya will be held on Sept 26 at 11 am at the Golf Link community hall (behind the Golf Club). All BRPs and CRPs are to attend the said meeting.
Election notice
The Draft Photo Electoral Rolls for the Assembly Constituencies of 37-kharkutta (ST), 38-Mendipathar (ST), 39-Resubelpara (ST) and 40-Bajengdoba (ST) have been prepared and are available for inspection at the office of the Deputy Commissioner (Elections), North Garo Hills District and at the concerned polling stations during office hours.
Award
To promote sanitization and hygiene through community involvement in a competitive mode in each C&RD block under the scheme ‘Clean and Green Village Award,’ the Deputy Commissioner and Chairman District rural Development agency, East Khasi Hills District has informed that interested villages can submit the duly filled in application form available at their Block office on or before Sept 30 to their respective BDOs.
Golden jubilee
The Shillong Academy Secondary School will organise the golden jubilee closing programme on Sept 26 at 3 pm at Women’s College Auditorium, Upper New Colony. Social Welfare and SAD Minister, Deborah Ch Marak will be the chief guest.
Convocation
The convocation ceremony of successful candidates under the Government-sponsored IT programme for unemployed youths in association with NIIT will be held on Sept 25 at Aurobindo Institute of Indian Culture auditorium from 10 am. IT Minister AL Hek will be the chief guest.

Celebration
International Day for Older Persons will be celebrated at Ampati, South West Garo Hills on October 1 at the Community Hall-cum-Multi Faceted Centre. Senior citizens of the area will be invited and two senior-most citizens will be felicitated.
Awareness prog
The Horticulture division of ICAR research complex for NEH region, Umiam, will organise a field day cum awareness programme on rights of tribal farmers on Sept 28 at Horticulture Farm. There will be awareness on the latest technologies including varieties developed by the Institute to augment production of horticulture crops.
Workshop
On the occasion of World Tourism Day to be held on Sept 27, Campfire Trails in collaboration with the Tourism department will organise a workshop promoting eco-tourism, water sports adventure and water safety at Umtyngar from 11 am to 4 pm. Expert personnel and professionals in the above fields will be present to supervise the workshop.
