Agitating teachers to meet Chief Secy on Monday

SHILLONG: The agitating teachers under the banner of Joint Action Committee of All Teachers’ Association of Meghalaya (JACATAM) will meet Chief Secretary WMS Pariat on Monday to discuss the various problems faced by the teaching community of the State.

Senior (Director-level) officials from the Education department, MBOSE chairman EP Kharbhih and his subordinates will also be present in the meeting to be chaired by the Chief Secretary.

JACATAM had been demanding an audience with either Deputy Chief Minister in charge of Education, Prof RC Laloo or Chief Minister Dr. Mukul Sangma.
