Petrol bomb hurled, one hurt

NONGPOH: A manager of sericulture office near Nongpoh was injured after miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at a car (MLO5 1764) parked adjacent to the nearby handloom office at around 10.30 pm on Monday.

The private car belonged to the district handloom officer Deny Tariang.

According to police, the Manager L.M Rymbai sustained injury on his leg when he tried to douse the fire after miscreants lobbed the petrol bomb. The car was partially damaged.

The injured officer was shifted to Nongpoh civil hospital and the police have filed an FIR in this connection.
