SHILLONG: The ICFAI University Meghalaya, Shillong Campus, on Tuesday observed the 2nd Death Anniversary of Late NJ Yasaswy, founder of the ICFAI Society, by organising the 2nd NJ Yasaswy Memorial Lecture here.
Dr. AS Guha, OSD, IGNOU Regional Centre, Shillong, spoke on the theme ‘Changing Contexts of Education’.
Describing late Yasaswy as a man of creative potentialities with pragmatism, Dr. Guha stressed on the education system in the country. He observed that there was a need to change the education system from the school level itself, and stressed on the need for radicalization of education.
Dr. D Laloo, Member, Board of Governors, ICFAI University, Meghalaya, other guests, teachers and students of Laitumkhrah Presbyterian Higher Secondary Schools, faculty, staff and students of the University were present on the occasion.
