Notice

The Deputy Commissioner (Excise) East Khasi Hills district has declared October 12 to 14 as dry days throughout the entire district on account of the Durga Puja Festival. All IMFL shops, bars, hotels, club, out still shops and bonded warehouses shall remain closed on these days.

Felicitation

The ex-office bearers and members of the CYL will hold a felicitation programme in honour of Rev. Fr. Joseph Celia on October 12 at the Youth Centre, Laitumkhrah. The programme will be preceded by a Holy Mass at 10 am.

Convention

The Pentecostal Mission, Shillong will hold the Annual Centre Convention and Divine Healing services at Nongmynsong Convention Ground, near Umkaliar (Quarry), from October 10 to 13 at 5 pm.

Durga Puja

The Durga temple at Nartiang near Jowai in West Jaintia Hills will be celebrating Durga Puja from October 10-14.

Alumni meet

The Principal, Shillong Polytechnic, has informed that first alumni meet will be held on October 25 as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations at the Institute auditorium. Passed-out students have to register their names on the website shpalumni.e45.org

ESI Act

The State Government has extended the provisions of the Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) Act, 1948, to all areas where the scheme has already been brought into force to the classes of establishments wherein ten or more persons are employed.
