MINING POLICY: Meghalaya is yet to implement the mining policy though it was notified a year ago.

The Chief Minister told the Assembly on Thursday that there was a need to engage the mine owners for capacity building and also to creating awareness programmes pending which Government is not in a position to implement the Meghalaya Mines and Mineral Policy 2012.
