Rape

On October 13, one Jipen Hajong (20) abducted one minor girl (16) from Pataghat Ryngku in East Khasi Hills and brought her to Shillong where he raped her. Police have arrested the accused.

Assault

On Oct 16 at around 2 am, unidentified miscreants assaulted one Balajied Kharshiing at Jeep Stand, Garikhana. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital, Shillong.
On Oct 13 at around 3 am, Agon Ch. Sangma assaulted two persons Romel R. Marak and Pelson R. Marak and also threatened them with dire consequences at Ramsang Silgre village in West Garo Hills. As a result, the victims sustained injuries.

Theft

Police arrested two persons, Skatboy Warjri and Hiran Wahlang in connection with a theft case under Mairang Police Station.
On Oct 15 at around 11 pm, unknown miscreants stole one Laptop computer from the house of one B. Marak at Pynthorbah.
On Oct 14 at around 3 am, unknown miscreants stole Rs. 38,000 from the house of one Debo Jyoti De at Upper Jail Road.

Body recovered

On Oct 15 at around 6 pm, one unidentified male body (35/40) was recovered at Polo Bazar, Shillong. Necessary formalities have been observed and the matter is under enquiry.
