Police Commemoration Day

The Police Commemoration Day parade will be held at Police Reserve on October 21 at 8 am in the remembrance of the police personnel who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty during the year 2012-13. Meghalaya Governor Dr KK Paul will attend the function.

Youth camp

A three-day YMCA youth camp concluded in the city on October 16. Participants representing different districts of the State participated in the event. Variety of programmes and activities were held during the camp which was held at Umdihar in Ri Bhoi.

Workshop

A two-day workshop titled “Women in Leadership – the unknown woman” will be organized by the CCA NER programme from October 23-24 at the Asian Confluence Centre, Meghalaya. This is an interactive event conducted by the Academy of Human Excellence.

Felicitation

The Seng Kur Ki Khun Ka Khmah Lyngdoh Mawphlang will felicitate the meritorious students of the clan who have excelled in the board or university examinations 2013. Other members of the clan who have brought laurels through their achievements in different fields will also be recognised. Organizers have informed that the applicants can send in their attested marksheet and certificates to the general secretary (central body) or to the respective unit secretaries on or before November 12.
