Four held in double murder cases in West Khasi Hills

NONGSTOIN: Riangdo Police on September 29 arrested two person identified as Sikshon (26) of Porshken and Blassius Langsah (55) of Poriu for their involvement in the murder of one farmer Obed Nianglang (52) of Porla Nongtrai in April 2013 and Over Sohlamar (45) of Nongdudir on September 24, 2013.

Following their arrest, the duo confessed that they had assaulted the victims with sticks and after they had died, they took out the blood from their nose.

Acting on the confession, Riangdo Police again started the probe and arrested another culprit Damian Bula of Nongmise (26) on Oct 2 and Hington Wanniang (54) of Riangkang on Oct 18.

All the four culprits have confessed to their involvement in the two murder cases. Police are now investigating to find out if more people were involved in the murder cases.

Meanwhile, people of the area have alleged that the four murderers were practicing witchcraft (Menshohnoh).
