SHILLONG: Meghalaya Governor, Dr K K Paul, expressed his profound grief at the demise of Vikas Nandwal, son of J S Nandwal, at New Delhi. The Governor has already spoken to the father, Nandwal, who is presently in Hisar, Haryana over phone and conveyed his deepest condolences to him and his family.

The Shillong City District of the UDP was shocked to learn of the sad demise of Vikash Nandwal, a victim of the senseless condemnable action perpetrated by anti-social miscreants.

While extending condolences to the bereaved family, the Party in a statement issued on Sunday urges upon the authorities to zero in on the perpetrators and deliver justice as per law, to deter and prevent such inhuman propagation.

Meanwhile, the Shillong Chamber Choir (SCC) has also condoled the death of Nandwal.

“We are deeply touched by the words and spirit of forgiveness expressed by the father of the victim (J S Nandwal). We prayed that God’s mercy and peace be upon the Nandwal family,” SCC said in a statement.

The Modi Fan Club has also condoled the demise of city-based trader Vikash Nandwal and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
