Unlawful sale of rail tickets alleged

SHILLONG: The Global Social Welfare Organisation has alleged that the railway ticket counter at the MTC building are selling railway tickets on black to the dalals who have their shops inside the MTC Campus without verification of identity.

According to GSWO, Counter number 3 which is meant for senior citizens and women is mostly occupied by junior citizens and wives of the dallals as a result of which senior citizens, ladies and handicapped persons have to suffer tremendously.
