Infiltrators arrested

SHILLONG: As many as 10 Bangladeshi nationals were arrested by the police in different locations in South Garo Hills and East Jaintia Hills while they were trying to infiltrate into the State.
On November 1, during vehicle checking at Siju (SGH), Police arrested six Bangladeshi nationals identified as Sopon Sangma (29), Kalon R. Marak (25), Bishu Sangma (24), Romu Marak (20), Dilip Sangma (39) and Neten Sangma (25).
The six persons were traveling in two Tata Sumo vehicles (ML-07-4399) and (ML-07-7449). All of them were handed over to Baghmara PS. Investigation is on.
On November 3 at around 1 pm, Police arrested four Bangladeshi nationals, Md. Fanik Ahmed, Md. Abdul Basik, Md. Kabir Ahmed and Md. Mustafar Ahmed from Umtyra in East Jaintia Hills.
