SHILLONG: The UDP is likely to decide on whether to continue its support to the Congress-led Khasi Hills United Democratic Alliance (KHUDA) in the KHADC after it receives a detailed report from the leader of the KHADC Parliamentary Party, Remington Pyngrope over the political developments in the Council.
The UDP has sought a detailed report from Pyngrope on the issue, UDP working president Paul Lyngdoh said here on Tuesday.
Lyngdoh said that the Parliamentary party is scheduled to meet on Wednesday after the State Election Committee meeting. “A clear picture will emerge by tomorrow,” he added.
Earlier on Monday, the three HSPDP MDCs had withdrawn their support from the Congress-led alliance in the KHADC.he decision of three HSPDP MDCs — LG Nongsiej, KP Pangngiang and Enbin K Raswai — to withdraw support came as a surprise since Pangngiang and Nongsiej had voted against the resolution on ILP during the Council’s Autumn session recently.
