Alleged enrolment of
dubious voters

SHILLONG: Deputy Chief Minister in charge of Election department Rowell Lyngdoh said that he would ask the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Prashant Naik after his return from Garo Hills to look into the alleged enrolment of dubious people into the electoral rolls of the State.

“Since I am in Garo Hills, I have no information about this development. But definitely I would find out the actual position of this case,” Lyngdoh said here on Thursday.

The FKJGP Nongthymmai circle has questioned the enrolment process of the dubious people into the State electoral rolls at Madanryting, recently.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, FKJGP Nongthymmai Circle urged the Election Commission of India to take note on this reported enrolment of doubtful people into the electoral rolls.
