Kidnapping bid

On November 8, one Akash alias Nurul Islam kidnapped a girl (16) from her residence at Pynthorumkhrah. Later, Police rescued the girl from a night super bus and also arrested the accused person.

Insurance

One T.J. Synrem lodged a complaint that in 2012 he purchased a Maruti Swift car (ML-05K-0092) from Rani Motors, Shillong financed by Indusland Bank, Keating Road, Shillong with a scheme of three years insurance. However, on expiry of the insurance, the Bank refused to extend the insurance.

Body found

On November 8, the body of a woman identified as Zaiana Momin was found hanging in her residence at Mawiong. Necessary formalities have been observed and matter is under enquiry.

Theft cases

One Sil Dkhar lodged a complaint that on November 8 midnight, unknown miscreants broke into his residence at Demthring Block-III and stole Rs. 30,00,000.

On November 7 night, unknown miscreants stole ten solar plates from the premises of NEIGRIHMS at Mawdiangdiang.

Clash

One Pradip Saikia lodged a complaint that on November 6 around 10.30 pm, a quarrel broke out between the Security Guards of Dalmia Cement Ltd and truck drivers in the premises of the cement plant at Thangskai in East Jaintia Hills in which the truck drivers (200) pelted stones at the Security Room, manhandled the Security Guards and also threatened them with dire consequences.
