Apprehension

On November 12 at around 4.30 am, residents of Madanryting Block-D apprehended two persons, Sunil Bastor (28) and Sandeep Das (27) and assaulted them while they were attempting to commit theft. As a result, they sustained injuries and admitted at CH Shillong.

On November 12 at around 9.30 am, personnel of Infiltration Check Post, Khliehriat detected four Bangladeshi nationals namely, Md. Anfur Ali (23), Md. Abdul Khalik (18), Md. Bilal Uddin (22) and Md. Saleh Ahmed (18) at Khliehriat (EJH). All of them were handed over to Khliehriat PS for necessary action.

Rape

On November 11 at around 4 pm, one Raymidi Kharsohnoh (21) raped one minor girl (14) at Nongumlong, Upper Shillong. Police arrested the accused.

A woman lodged a complaint that on November 12 at around 9.30 am, a boy (17) attempted to rape her minor daughter (3) at CID Complex, Lawsohtun. Police arrested the accused.

Theft

lOne Rupert Pathaw lodged a complaint that on November 11, unknown miscreants stole Audio CD Player and other articles from a Maruti car (ML-05H-8929) at Mission Compound, Shillong.

lOn November 11 at around 5.30 pm, unknown miscreants stole audio system from a vehicle (ML-05H-3997) belonging to one Reddy Moore Howland Budon from Barik.

lOn November 10 at around 8.30 pm, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-09-6827) from a garage at Mawlai Nonglum, Shillong.

lOn November 8, unknown miscreants stole one auto-rickshaw (ML-05H-7396) belonging to Zahir Hussain from Thana Road, Shillong.

lOne Bimal Kumar Jha, Manager of M/s Harsh Metal Guwahati lodged a complaint at Mawryngkneng PS that on November 7, two staff of the company–Saidul Alam Sarkar (25) and Deep Kumar Nath in one Indica car waylaid one truck (AS-01-0515) at Thangshalai, Shillong By-Pass (EKH) forcibly took away one hundred-fifty bags of non-ferrous scrap valued around Rs. 20,10,000. Police arrested the accused persons.

lOn November 6, Kamakhya Mahato stole Rs. 10,000 belonging to one Ankur Chokrani from his shop at Malki.

Assault

lOn November 11 at around 7 pm, unknown miscreants assaulted one Binod Thakur (35) at Forest Colony. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and removed to CH Shillong.

lOne Milnora Sten (50) lodged a complaint at Umsning OP that on November 3 at around 5 pm, Phling Saring (24) assaulted, damaged her property and also threatened her with dire consequences, at Lamalong (RB).

Molestation

One John Fisher Marwein, Secretary of Umjaru village lodged a complaint at Nongstoin PS that on November 10 at around 4.30 pm, one Wonderful Iawphniaw attempted to molest two women, Merin Sohshang and Beltiora Lyngdoh and also threatened them with dire consequences, at Umjaru village (WKH).

Threat case

On November 9, one Kingbestar Lyngdoh broke into the village community hall in Nonglait village (WKH) and took away illicit liquor which was seized by the VDP members. He also threatened the Sirdar and VDP members with dire consequences.

Arrest

Police arrested five persons, Stiksho Synshiang (30), Blasius Langsah (55), Damian Bula (28), Koning Tyrsa (34) and Hington Wanniang for the murder of one Krasitone Nachugre. On their leading, the body was exhumed and spot post mortem was conducted.
