SHILLONG: Following the arrest of a police officer and two constables for their involvement in a robbery at Shillong Bypass near Mawryngkneng village earlier this month, police are still investigating into the matter to ascertain the actual number of people involved in the crime. “We are still interrogating the arrested cops to find out whether other personnel are involved in the crime,” East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police M Kharkrang said here on Monday.

The trio were arrested for their direct involvement in looting a truck (AS-01-EC-0515) loaded with non ferrous scrap including copper, brass and aluminium worth Rs 20.10 lakh on November 7.
