Another vernacular weekly newspaper from Arunachal

Itanagar: The media in Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday achieved another milestone with the launch of a vernacular weekly newspaper, the third from the state.

Gumgu Rumru, the weekly in Nyishi language, was formally launched by Galo Welfare Society president Emi Rumi in a function held at the premises of Arunachal Press Club here this afternoon. Earlier this year, Supung Puyu, an Apatani language weekly and The Arunachal Aung an Adi weekly was launched.

Terming it as a good beginning Rumi said that it would go a long way in the annals of state’s media history. (PTI)
