SHILLONG: The Khasi Students’ Union Jalaphet Unit (East Jaintia Hills District) has condemned the recent attack on the Rangbah Shnong of Jalaphet by unknown miscreants.

“We strongly condemn the assault by miscreants on Bri Sumer and we express concern over the lack of sensitivity among those people involved in stabbing him,” KSU Jalaphet Unit president Emmon Chyrmang said.

The Rangbah Shnong, Bri Sumer, was stabbed by five miscreants who came in a Gypsy and committed the offence while Sumer was on his way to Moopala village on November 22. Sumer was shifted to Woodland Hospital, Shillong after his condition deteriorated.

The KSU unit has demanded speedy investigation into this case and immediate arrest of the culprits, while urging the court to reject any bail application of the culprits and to ensure that stringent action are taken against them.
