Laptops
Meghalaya Government will award laptops to meritorious students who have passed MBOSE, SSLC,HSSLC, ICSE-X.CBSE-X and XII. The Commissioner and Secretary Information Technology informed that the list of students eligible for the award of laptop is available at the IT department website, www. ditmeghalaya. nic.in.
Lok Adalat
The National Lok Adalat which was held nationwide earlier this week saw a good response from the loanees who came to settle their pending loan account with the Bakijai Branch of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, west Khasi Hills District. As many as 43 loan defaulters came to clear their long outstanding loan on account of PMRY Loan amounting to Rs 3,75,669/- in cash during the Lok Adalat.

Awareness
An awareness cum football match organised by urban mission of the KJP Synod Sepngi proposed to be held on November 30 from 9am onwards at Students’ Field, Jaiaw Langsning as part of the observation of the World AIDS Day which coincides on December 1 and the football match which will be played between the taxi drivers under the taxi Owners and Drivers association Jaiaw and Wahumkhrah Unit and the Auto Drivers under the Motphran Auto Rickshaw Owners’ and Drivers’ Association, has been postponed to December 2 at the same venue at 9am.
World AIDS Day
Meghalaya AIDS Control Society will be organising a two-day state level event on HIV and AIDS on November 30 and December 1 at State Central Library from 10am onwards.
