Unclaimed body

One Ganesh Dorjee (35) resident of Rynjah Lumshngain was admitted in Civil Hospital on November 14 and died on December 1. The Hospital authorities have asked the concerned relatives to collect the body from the Hospital morgue immediately or within a period of three days failing of which, the body will be send for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board.

Missing case

One 14-year-old girl, Usha Brahma, resident of Nongmynsong has been reported missing since November 29 at 7.30 am. She was wearing a pink hi-neck, black frock and red jeans on the day she went missing. Any information of the whereabouts of the missing persons can be given on – 9436381230, 08014460111 and 9615625670.

Complaint

One Binalson Tongper lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that one Fangwell Careson Myrboh failed to repay the loan of Rs. 10,30,000.

Constable A Chettri lodged a complaint at Baghmara PS that on November 28 at around 3.15 pm, while he was performing duties at Gasuapara Land Custom Station, Gate No. 1, one BSF personnel in civil dress introduced him to another person in mufti as the Dy. Commandant, G Branch, BSF. Later, the Dy. Commandant interfered in his duty and also assaulted him by frisking his body.

One Andrea B Jyrwa lodged a complaint at Mawlai PS that on October 30, her Facebook friend namely, Larry Liunie, of United Kingdom, informed her that he had sent one parcel and asked her to deposit Rs. 19,600 for clearance of the parcel. Later, she realised that she has been cheated.

Arrest

Police arrested one Benedict Syiemlieh (26) in connection with a burglary case under Shillong Sadar PS.

On December 2 at around 2 am, during vehicle checking at Lumshnong (EJH), Police intercepted one Maruti van (ML-04B-4713) driven by Peksoma Ngamlai with four occupants — Md. Shahed Ali, Md. Abdul Baten, Md. Sahidul Islam and Md. Shaman Ali. On checking, eight rolls of stolen copper wire (60 meters each) was recovered. The stolen property belonged to M/s Star Cement, Lumshnong. Police have arrested the accused persons.

Theft and assault

On December 2 at around 5.30 pm, a group of unidentified boys armed with weapons assaulted three persons, Steve Rapsang, Banteilang Rapsang and Tyngshain Wahlang at Iewduh. As a result, the victims sustained injuries and were removed to KJP Hospital, Shillong.

On December 2 at about 2 am, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (ML-07A-7460) belonging to one Jawan M Sangma from Kusimkolgre, Williamnagar (EGH).

On December 1, unknown miscreants stole four water supply pipes from Reserve Forest at Laitkor.

Threat case

Plina Kharmawlong lodged a complaint at Mairang PS that on December 1 at about 10 am, one Dilip Kumar Kharmawlong, created nuisance in her residence at Sangshong village (WKH) and also threatened her and her family members with dire consequences. Police have arrested the accused.
