Meeting of scouts and guides held

SHILLONG: The 17th Annual State Council of the Meghalaya Bharat Scouts & Guides (MBS&G) was held on Thursday. Chaired by the Chief Secretary WMS Pariat, who is also the President of the MBS&G, the meeting was attended by officials and representatives of the association from various districts.

During the meeting, Pariat presented L Rymbai, District Chief Commissioner of Scouts and Guides in East Jaintia Hills District with a Charter of District Association following the creation of thes new District and also felicitated Gary James who was elected Member of the National Executive Council.

Apart from reports presented, some important issues were also discussed including the creation of infrastructure for the State Training Centre, Umtyngar and holding of the National Integration Camp to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of the STC, Umtyngar in 2015.
