Body recovered

lOn December 4 at around 5:30 am, the body of one Horimon Sinha (45) a battery mechanic temporarily residing at Pahamsyiem under Nongpoh PS was recovered at Pahamsyiem near a paddy field along the NH-40 (RB). No external injury was found in his body. Cadaver was sent to CH Nongpoh for PM.

lOn December 4 at around 2 pm, one unidentified decomposed male body was found hanging at Assam Regimental Centre Complex, Happy Valley. Necessary formalities were observed and matter is under enquiry.

Arrest

lOn December 4 at around 6:30 pm, three persons, Wanjop Lyngdoh Mawphlang (18), Banmanbha Thangkhiew (22), Skhem Rymmai (18), along with 5minor boys aged 14, 16 and three 17 yers old boys were involved in an affray with roadside chat vendors, Ambet Kumar (20) and Nagender Kumar Bhagat (30) near M/s Vishal Mega Mart, Jail Road. All the ten persons were arrested.

Threat case

lOne Biology Sten of Mission Compound, Jowai (WJH) lodged a complaint that on December 4 at around 11 am, her son, Dapura Sten created trouble and threatened her with dire consequences.

lOne Sangeeta Gurung lodged a complaint at Lumdiengjri PS that on November 25 at around 5.30 pm, Ricky Chettri and Munu Chettri assaulted and threatened her with dire consequences in her house at Jhalupara, Shillong.

Assault

On December 3 at around 3.30 pm, two unidentified boys assaulted one Tokko Linggi and looted one cell-phone valued around 3,500 and a purse containing Rs. 30 at Indoor Stadium, Jingkieng Nongthymmai.

Rape

One Dejing Ch. Marak lodged a complaint that in the last week of November 2013, Polbinson Ch. Marak raped one minor girl aged (16) and attempted to rape her younger sister aged (14). He also tortured the family members.
