District Youth Convention organized

NONGPOH: In a bid to create awareness among the youth leaders of different youth clubs in Ri Bhoi District, on the role of youth in strengthening and promote the society, the office of the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sagathan (NYKS), Ri Bhoi District on Thursday organized a one-day District Youth Convention at Nongpoh Community Hall, Sajer.
The function was attended by Extra Assistant Commissioner M Lakiang, District Youth Coordinator Dr. Salam D Singh, Saiden village Headman EK Lapang, NYKS, Nongpoh Branch Accountant K Nongbri along with over 70 participants representing the 15 youth clubs of Nongpoh.
Addressing the gathering, Lakiang expressed her pleasure in being associated with the programme along with the youth leaders. She also congratulated the officer of the NYKS, Nongpoh Branch for their efforts in organizing the much needed awareness programme for the youth club and youth club members.
