SHILLONG: Police on Friday arrested KSU Shella unit vice president and three others from Shella for assaulting labourers.
SDPO, Sohra, Ian Swer said that as per the FIR lodged by one Badashisha Youroi, Phrang Sngi Swett, the KSU Shella unit vice president along with three other persons assaulted three labourers employed by her – Joyul Islam, Mobidul Islam and Anwar Islam – while they were coming from their work on December 3 at 4 pm.
Besides Swett, the three others arrested were identified as Wenly Youroin, (45), Philip Youroin (25), Dhupendro Jean Gaps (35).
