RS Pandey joins Nagaland BJP party

Kohima: Nagaland BJP Unit State President Dr. M. Chuba Ao has welcomed R.S. Pandey, IAS (retd.), former Nagaland Chief Secretary and the Interlocutor between Government of India and NSCN (IM), into the BJP.
In a press statement issued by Jaangsillung Gonmei, Secretary, BJP Nagaland said Dr. Chuba was of the opinion that Pandey’s decision to join the BJP is practical and commendable and comes at a time when there is a nationwide realization that the Congress led UPA Government has failed everyone including the Nagas to deliver on their poll promises. It also mentioned that the heightened corruption, price rise, inflation, mismanagement of development programmes are some of the reasons that have drawn influential people away from the Congress. Even the Naga talks had been stalled for periods more than necessary leaving the region in a state of confusion and indecisiveness.
BJP Nagaland stated that the long and rich experience of R. S. Pandey being and working with the Nagas as former State Chief Secretary besides his role as the Interlocutor . (UNI)
