SHILLONG: In view of the ensuing Christmas Festival, police have come up with few traffic restrictions from December 19 till December 24. During the restriction, no trucks will be allowed to enter Shillong from 8 am to 8 pm except trucks carrying essential commodities.
Similarly, Ri Bhoi, West Jaintia Hills, East Jaintia Hills, South West Khasi Hills and West Khasi Hills will stagger trucks in their respective jurisdiction.
Multi axle trucks will not be allowed to enter Ri Bhoi district and East Jaintia Hills district on the days and all trucks proceeding towards Jaintia Hills should ply through the Shillong Bypass only.
