Survey

The NSS volunteers of the Social Work department of the MLCU along with the faculty conducted a survey on needs assessment at Nongtalang and Lamin villages. The first day started with a survey at Nongtalang village covering 308 houeholds out of 443 households and on the last day survey was conducted in Lamin village covering 160 houses out of 250 households.

Service

The Pre-Christmas Service Cum Celebration was organized by the employees of BSNL office in the office campus of the CGMT, NE-I Circle on Thursday where the Oracle Group besides other participants from BSNL made beautiful carols presentation. To mark the celebration, a Blood Donation camp was organized earlier in collaboration with the Regional Blood Bank, Pasteur Institute, Shillong and a total 19 employees of BSNL came forward to donate blood.
Parade
The Passing out parade of the  39th batch course will be held on December 21 at NEPA Parade Ground from 10:30 am where Governor Dr KK Paul will be the chief guest.

Aquafest

Department of Fisheries will organise the pre Christmas  Aquafest on December 20 at the State Central Library at 11 am.
Convention
Department of Health and Family Welfare will organise a one day ASHA workers convention 2013 at U Soso Tham Auditorium on December 23 from 9:30 am.

Nomination

The HSPDP has called for nominations from individuals who are would like to contest the upcoming MDC elections in 2014 from the party ticket. The announcement comes in the wake of other political parties who have thrown open to give tickets to anyone who wishes to contest the elections. With respect to those who wish to contest from Shillong City from the party they can contact the president 9863067492 or secretary 9863037430 in charge of Shillong City and those wishing to contest from East Khasi Hills district can contact the president 9856622858 or secretary 9862207785 in charge of EKH district on or before December 28.
