  • While returning back from a picnic party at Umsawli, a Mahindra Bolero (WB24C – 6423) overturned after the driver lost control of the vehicle on reaching Mawdiangdiang under Mawryngkneng Block, East Khasi Hills.
    The incident occurred on Wednesday. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Shillong helped in shifting the driver Kartic Mukherjee (34years/male) and Manoj Biswas (34years/male) to Shillong Civil Hospital.
  • Two motorists, one riding a motorbike while the other on a scooter, sustained injuries when their respective two wheelers collided with each other at Mawlai Nongkwar, Shillong on Wednesday evening. Biswajeet (22) and Krishna Nayar (25) were injured in the incident.
  • In a hit and run case reported from Araimile, Tura under Rongram Block, West Garo Hills, Panseng A. Sangma (36) sustained injuries after he was hit by a motorbike while he was walking on the side of the road. The biker fled from the scene after the incident which took place on January 1.
    The victim Panseng A. Sangma was shifted to Tura Civil Hospital for treatment.

In all the above cases the 108 emergency service ambulance shifted the victims to various health centres/hospitals across the State
