Body recovered
- Under the heading Missing Person, regarding the missing report of Lovelystar Khongjoh (45), on January 2 around 11:30 am, his body was recovered from a jungle near Lynshing village.
- A highly decomposed male body was recovered from inside an abandoned coal quarry located at a place called Riat Mulieh, near Sutnga village in East Jaintia Hills District on Friday morning. Local people from Sutnga who spotted the body in the morning informed the Khliehriat police who later shifted the body to Khliehriat CHC for post mortem examination.
Suicide
On December 26, Biha Hajong (15) committed suicide by hanging at Kashra village under Ampati PS (SWGH).
Arrest
Solbison B Marak lodged a complaint that on August 3, 2013 three armed persons namely, (1) Belsa M Marak, (2) Cristal D. Sangma and (3) Sujeng Marak robbed him of Rs. 11,500/- after assaulting him in his house at Manggakgre under Tura PS (WGH). Police arrested all the accused persons and seized two country-made guns from their possession.
Assault
On January 1 around 5:30 pm, unknown miscreants fatally assaulted Shiningstar Kharrngi (30) at Mawjongka under Sohiong OP (EKH).
