BSNL assures to tackle telecom issues in Arunachal

Itanagar: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has assured Arunachal Pradesh to resolve all the problems of BSNL service in the state particularly in Western Arunachal.
The BSNL authorities during a meeting with Lok Sabha member from the state Takam Sanjoy yesterday assured to make operational the phase 7 of the mobile plan project of 2014-15 soon with most of the Base Transceiver Stations (BTS) and Digital Satellite Phone Terminal (DSPT) to be made functional, official sources said here today.
BTS at Mengio, Nyimte, Sarli and Kheel where the towers were erected long back would be activated soon with proper equipments for which purchase orders had already been placed to its headquarter office, the BSNL officials informed Sanjoy. Also, this month the concern sub-divisional telecom officer would conduct a ‘roadshow’ in faraway places starting from Monigong and Tato wherein the mobile connection would be given after minor formalities.
The BSNL officials also assured to provide satellite phones to hundreds of census villages under this phase.
The meeting also dwelt on the ways to improve connectivity at Chayangtajo and Bameng, to cover Yangte from a tower at Meer and proper network connection at Parsi-Parlo..(PTI)
