lOn January 7 around 6:30 pm, an accident took place between one jeep driven by Champino Wahlang (27) and a truck (ML-06-3020) at Ladmawri village (West Khasi Hill). As a result, driver of the jeep sustained injuries and was shifted to NEIGRIHMS, Mawdiangdiang, where he succumbed to his injuries the next day.
lIn another incident, On January 8 at about 6.00 pm one six wheeler truck (AS25-C-4246) plying through the Shillong Bye Pass road to Guwahati dashed against a Maruti car (ML-05-C-1409) driven by Modisha Rynjah at Nongrah (Ri Bhoi). The truck driver fled away leaving the truck. The car driver sustained injuries and was shifted to Bhoirymbong CHC where he later succumbed to his injuries.
