AICC screening panel for LS polls From Our Special

NEW DELHI: The AICC has named Union Minister V Narayanasamy as chairman of the screening committee for the Lok Sabha election for the Northeastern states including Meghalaya, but excluding Assam, a notification issued on Thursday night said.

G Chinna Reddy has been named member of the committee for all the seven states that will also have the respective AICC general secretaries, PCC chiefs and CLP leaders as members. In Meghalaya, Luizinho Falerio, DD Lapang and Dr. Mukul Sangma will be the members. In case of Assam, Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde has been named chairman of the screening committee.

Assam PCC president Bhubaneswar Kalita has been named as chairman of the screening committee for Himachal, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir.
