SHILLONG: Police on Tuesday night arrested three more persons in connection with the murder of one Novivor Ali (22) at Pynthorbah, Golf Links on January 20.
Police said that few of the arrested persons are prime suspects in the case. Those arrested on Tuesday were identified as Nirmal Deb (29 ), Bima Rabha (36) and Gobind Deb (19). With this a total of nine people have been arrested in connection with the murder.
The accused have been remanded in eight-day police custody.
Ali’s body was dumped near Polo petrol pump, at Demseiñiong. The deceased was murdered after an argument cropped up between him and the accused.
