SHILLONG: Despite being bowled out for just 104 runs, Nongthymmai SCC were still able to defeat Riatsamthiah SCC by 27 runs in a league match of the SCA Super Division Cricket League at the Cricket Ground, Polo, on Thursday.

Andrew Ropmay’s figures of 4/16 in 4.5 overs proved to be crucial for Nongthymmai in defending their paltry total.

Earlier, after winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Nongthymmai made their runs in 29.3 overs with Kunal Lama top-scoring with 42. Washid Ali bagged 4/19 in eight overs.

Riatsamthiah were then skittled for just 77 in 19.5 overs with Shanbok scoring 29 of those runs.

The next match will see New Friends Union play TNT Sputnik at 9:00am in the Super Division.
