CM’s Career Guidance and Counseling Programme

SHILLONG: Chief Minister Dr. Mukul Sangma interacted with the students of South West Garo Hills District who had enrolled for coaching under Chief Minister’s Career Guidance and Counseling Programme during its inauguration at Ampati Multi Facility Centre on Saturday morning.

Besides graduate and under graduate students aspiring for Civil Services, several SSLC passed candidates aspiring for banking and government jobs have also enrolled for coaching at the Ampati centre. The classes for the first batch will commence on February 5.

During the interaction Dr. Sangma urged the students to be responsive and gutsy and be willing to learn in order to be successful in life.

During the question-answer exercise with the students, the Chief Minister also gave them a few tips on how they should prepare for the exams.

Dr. A K Jain, a counseling expert and Director of CM’s Career Guidance Programme, gave an overview and vision for the coaching centre, which would offer complete package for the students with best quality books as they would have to compete with their counterparts from the rest of the country.

Chairperson, Employment Generation & Resource Mobilization, Dikkanchi D.Shira, Deputy Commissioner, Ram Singh, Superintendent of Police, R. Muthu and other district officials also attended the inauguration of the coaching centre.
