SHILLONG: Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama is arriving here on Monday on a three-day visit to Meghalaya.
Official sources informed that His Holiness is scheduled to land at the IAF Helipad, Upper Shillong at 10.30 am. The Dalai Lama will be present in the city from February 3-5 and will be accompanied by the Sikyong (Prime Minister) of the Tibetan Government in Exile Lobsang Sangay.
The Dalai Lama would grace the sixth convocation function of the Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU) at U Soso Tham Auditorium, State Central Library at 1.30 pm.
He will also take part in an inter-faith meet organised by the local Tibetan community and will visit the Upper Lumparing Monastery as well. His busy schedule will also see him conduct a spiritual teaching session at Polo Ground on February 4 at 1 pm.
