Boxing selection trial

SHILLONG: The Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs will soon hold a selection trial for the young boxers to get into the National Sports Academy in Imphal.
The DSYO has assigned the Meghalaya Boxing Association (MBA) with the task of holding the selection trial and to look for budding pugilists who have the potential to get into the NSA.
The MBA has also been asked to complete the task of holding the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) before April this year.
Young boxers who wantd to join the NSA should have completed their Class 5 and should not be above 12 years old on April 1 2014.
Interested participants should contact the boxing coach Larry Kharpran at the Directorate’s office at JN Stadium at the earliest.
