Green Valley hold Wahingdoh in Second Division I-League

SHILLONG: After a blistering first match, Royal Wahingdoh FC were held to a goalless draw by Green Valley of Assam in a Second Division I-League Group A match in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, on Monday.
In the other match of the day, Kolkatan side Kalighat Milan Sangha blanked MP United FC 4-0.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, Garhwal FC bounced back from their 9-2 mauling at the hands of RWFC to beat PIFA Sports FC 2-0.
Wahingdoh, Green Valley and Kalighat are all on four points from two games, although the Royals have the best goal difference of the three clubs.
The Shillong team will next play Kalighat on Thursday. Two teams from each group will progress to the main round of the Second Division, along with United Sikkim FC.
In Group B matches, played in Gangtok, Hindustan FC beat Aizawl FC 2-1 on Sunday, the same day that Bhawanipore FC dealt with Eagles FC of Kerala 2-0.
Bhawanipore, another Kolkata club, lead the five-team group with six points from two games. Hindustan are second and Aizawl third.
