SHILLONG: Police have registered an attempt-to-murder case against the two miscreants who set ablaze a forty-year-old woman in a forest near the ARC Firing Range in Madanrting on Sunday

East Khasi Hills SP M Kharkrang on Tuesday said that police were awaiting the full details of the duo from the victim — Anna Khongwar, a resident of 3rd Mile, who is presently undergoing treatment in a city hospital. According to Kharkrang, the victim took names of two persons ” Baduh and Badeng” but the police is waiting for the detailed statement from her.

The victim has received 30 to 35 percent burn injuries.
